Our Day Out

Today is Sway Day. I went to school to teach, ok. Then I headed to the next school for 2 consecutive school shows. And when I arrive at the school, I recieve this sms saying "Show's been cancelled. Do not go to the school." And I'm Already At The School, Sitting In The School Hall, Waiting.

So, I call our lovely SM, and he says "sorry Jo, teacher cancelled last minute."

I was wondering why they had all the exam tables laid out in the hall, and how the kids were going to be seated. Guess I got my answer.

"Are we going to get compensated?" I asked.

And the answer was no.

"Not even 50%?"

No.

"But it was 2 shows!"

Sorry. But, no.

"But I'm already AT the school."

...

I felt lucky I didn't take a cab. I felt luckier I didn't have to pay ERP. Always look on the bright side, right?

Oh well, you can't change what's been changed already. So, I decided to head over a bit earlier to meet this guy to pass him his cap instead of waiting at the school for him to come pick it up.

He was at Orchard Rd, and I was telling him how I didn't want to go in because of the ERP, and he said he just went in and there was none.

Being new on the road, all these ERP timings don't really make much sense to me. In fact, I don't think it'll make sense to me in the future either. It's just so random.

So anyhoos, I go in because he was right, there was no ERP. And then, I meet him, pass him his cap, (he liked it very much, by the way) and then headed home.

On my way out, passing the new Cathay place, I look up and "Whaaaat??!" It's on, damnit! So I kalang kabut-ed, used my left hand to get my cashcard out of my right backpocket (it IS a challenge, try it) while trying to maintain my speed, and managed to shove the stupid card into the stupid gadget Just In Time.

The government really shouldn't have all this nonsense on the road. It's Dangerous y'know!

Anyways, when I got back home, I realized that this was all too much for me to take in a day. So I grab Richie by the neck, and throw him out of the window.

The End.

Haha! No la!

Then I grab Richie and bring him out to Upper Pierce Reservoir!

Check out our photos, and the lovely sun before the sunset.

Lovely...

One for the record...

Run Free...

Caught ya now, Ducky.

Smile, damnit.

Next time you gotta produce an invoice then get them to pay you at least 30% before commencement. Don't let them take advantage of you like that again.
