Wee Li Lin’s Forever was the first Singaporean film to receive a double world premiere on December 1st last year, screening at both the Jakarta and Cairo international film festivals, and is now in cinemas!
This story about Joey, a video consultant at the Wedding Education Department (W.E.D.), and the love of her life, Gin, a handsome music teacher from Taiwan, is unrealistically romantic, and romantically bitter-sweet.
Joey's hyper-active imagination leads her to believe that Gin is truly in love with her and they take off on a diabetically sweet whirlwind romance.
Too good to be true is really Too Good To Be True.
Soon, Joey's friends and colleagues, as well as Gin, start to find out about her fantastical world, where she treads the fine line between fantasy and reality. However, she believes that her love is true and that Gin will fall in love with her eventually.

Worth a watch? YES. This is one local feature length film that I would recommend. It's a film where you can truly see the hardwork and effort put in to make it good. It's a film that tells a story that is probably very real, characters that do exist, yet doesn't indulge in being ...self-indulgent.
It's not slapstick, but is humourous enough to make it entertaining. Yet, it's a story that will set you thinking.
