Movie Review: The Change-Up

Ok, so I just went to the official movie website to see how I should start off giving a review on this movie. But I got so caught up with all the fun activities on it!

Hahah Really! You can "change-up your own trailer" meaning you decide what happens next in the trailer, and "change-up your friends" and even "find your own change-up" on facebook!

So basically, it's alot of fun brainless sh*t. But that's actually what the movie is really about.

Fun, Brainless Sh*t! This d*ck-flick (as opposed to chick-flick) is funny, incoherent, and has lots of boobies everywhere. So if you're a lady that feels offended when women are "objectified", this isn't a movie for you.

By the way, these are the smallest pair in the movie. The rest get bigger and bigger...
Personally, the way women are portrayed in the movie did kinda get a little under my skin (because I'm anal-feminist with small boobs), and it's over-used storyline (seriously, how many times have we seen two people switch roles in a hollywood movie) is OVER-USED.

But it's uncensored humour and amiable characters make up for a lot.

Produced and directed by David Dobkin, written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, and starring Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman.

This story is about a pair of best friends, who as years passed, have slowly drifted apart. While Dave (Jason Bateman) is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch (Ryan *drool* Reynolds) has remained a single, quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. To Mitch, Dave has it all: beautiful wife Jamie (Leslie Mann), kids who adore him and a high-paying job at a prestigious law firm. To Dave, living Mitch's stress-free life without obligation or consequence would be a dream come true. Following a drunken night out together, Mitch and Dave's worlds are turned upside down when they wake up in each other's bodies and proceed to freak out. Despite the freedom from their normal routines and habits, the guys soon discover that each other's lives are nowhere near as rosy as they once seemed.

As with all body switch movies, this story teaches us one thing, "be careful what you wish for!"

And of course, you'll find out eventually, that "the grass always SEEMS greener on the other side".

Nothing too complex about this movie, simple, hilarious, and a great treat for guys. Really, give the guy a break, pay for this movie and buy him good popcorn. He'll love you for it!
